Our self-adhesive foam tape, designed for application over polytunnel hoops, extends the lifespan of the polythene covering by a minimum of one year. The anti hot spot tape safeguards the polythene from heat damage, effectively preventing degradation caused by high temperatures. Its low-friction surface enables effortless placement of the cover over the frame, reducing risk of abrasion and snagging during installation. First Tunnels consistently utilizes Anti Hot Spot Tape when constructing polytunnels. The product is available in three widths: 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm, with each roll measuring 9 metres.

Manufactured using an acrylic adhesive instead of a hot melt adhesive, our Anti Hot Spot Tape delivers superior performance. When produced with a hot melt adhesive, the tape exhibits poor ultraviolet resistance, thereby compromising its effectiveness. By contrast, our tape ensures optimal protection for your polythene cover, maintaining durability and quality.

This transparent, UV-stabilised tape repairs tears in polythene sheets for polytunnels, cloches, and glasshouses and typically lasts longer than the cover itself. It comes in three widths, all 10m long and 130 microns thick. Keep repair tape handy to promptly fix splits for maximum cover lifespan. Apply to clean, dry surfaces; pull together the torn area, place tape along the tear, then add shorter perpendicular strips for extra strength. For best results, repair both inside and outside.

Suitable for horticultural grade polythene.
